poem

You are an African

"We came, we saw and we conquered"
See life as a continuation
Not as a snapshot in time
African act for the whole
"There can be no great social gain
without individual pain."
Act for self on elimination of fears
Become a leader act for your people
Excel and be the best,
Teach your children well
Their self centred actions
will benefit the whole.
When you listen to our Returning songbirds
Take a moment to feel their pain
When their talent forced Rebuke
For it woke a nation.
Dance in thanks to your ancestors
Thank the struggle leaders
We didn't break under the Iron rod.
